    The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, presents The Illuminations Project 2009. Wednesday, November 11, 2009 - 7:30 PM, Zilkha Hall.

    Illuminations Project is an annual showcase to help bring awareness to AIDS. This years show will feature performances from Hope Stone, Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, City Ballet of Houston, Psophonia Dance Company, Second Generation Dance Company, Dance of Asia America, Houston Fly Boys, Uptown Dance Company, Clay Hardy, Regina Dane and Kimberly Anne O'Neil. 

    This year's show will be presented in association with the Gulf Coast Archive Museum, a fully recognized 501(c)3 charity, and that all donations may be tax deductible. This year's beneficiaries for Illuminations Project 2009 will be the Montrose Counseling Center and the Gulf Coast Archive Museum. MCC does wonderful work in getting people with AIDS back on their feet both mentally and physically. The Gulf Coast Archive Museum has one of the most extensive collection of AIDS history for the gulf coast region and they will be displaying some of it at various shows this year.

    Each year, Illuminations Project recognizes our local hero's by honoring them with community awards. We present two of these awards, one to an individual and the other to a business, organization or group the exemplifies the P.A.C.E. (Prevention, Awareness, Community and Education) belief.

    Parking:

    The Hobby Center parking garage is located directly behind the complex with easy access from both Rusk and Walker streets. This 7-level, above-ground, 800-car garage offers self-parking ease for patrons and visitors alike. Event parking is an affordable $6 per vehicle. Valet service is provided during performances and in conjunction with Artista operating hours in front of the Hobby Center on Bagby Street, for $15 per vehicle between Rusk and Walker.
