Talento Bilingüe de Houston (TBH) presents their Dia de los Muertos art installation and exhibition by Elvira Diaz-Ocampo and Christian Navarrete. Their exhibitions will be held at TBH from November 2nd through November 20th. We will have a FREE opening reception on November 2nd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm where the public can have the opportunity to meet with the artists and ask questions as well as enjoy live music by Sister Sister y Los Misters and the Pistorelos de Texas.

We are very excited to have Elvira Diaz-Ocampo back at TBH. Her installations have brought many inspirations to our visiting audiences. This year her altar instillation La Tumba Azul is inspired by and dedicated to “Mujeres de Corazon. Women who were the backbone of their family and whose heart continues to beat as long as their blood flows through the veins of the seeds they leave behind.”

TBH is excited to have native Houstonian Christian Navarrete’s art with us for the first time. His exhibition Día y Noche includes some of his newest works. His artwork is surrealistic with a dash of subtle satire and is a reflection of his daily encounters with everyday life experiences. He is versatile with many mediums, but prefers to use acrylics to execute most of his work.

“The artwork that I create is a reflection of the world around us. There is nothing more beautiful than creating images through self-expression and impacting the lives of others.” His art work can be found in art galleries here in Houston as well as is in other museums and galleries in the U.S.
