Liz Conces Spencer I enjoy the fact that our visual environment is abstract by its very nature. From any given reference point it can be seen and depicted as either simplified or fragmented. Thus, my drawings and paintings balance structural simplicity with elaborate patterning. Interplays of rich vibrant color define what is and what is between.

My sources are the city, its parks, restaurants and people. I seek intimate glimpses of life in translations that are personal to the experience without being narrative or editorial. These explorations reflect an extension of the concept that all things connect, down to the molecule and beyond, and that this can be communicated visually.

    V. Chin Vorakit Chinookoswong, known widely as V. Chin, has been crafting fine porcelain and stoneware pieces for over 30 years. A veteran of art festivals and gallery shows throughout Texas, Chin creates glossy stoneware vases, bowls, cups, and other pieces bearing his signature clay frog.

Striving for a balance between aesthetics and function, Chin's goal is to simply create "good" ceramics. His subtle glazing adds an extraordinary level of elegance to his pottery.

Born in Thailand, Chin moved to Japan at an early age, where he graduated from the Kyoto Institute of Technology. He trained as an apprentice with several prominent Japanese ceramic artists before migrating to the United States in 1980. Chin now works and resides in Seabrook, Texas.

Chin creates unique pottery made from porcelain. His artistic objective is to simply create 'good' ceramics. Striving for elegance of form with a balance between aesthetics and function, his subtle glazing adds an extraordinary level of elegance to his work.
