Da Camera of Houston and The Menil Collection present another STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN! Family Concert: Percussion Class and Jazz Performance with Sam Dinkins, Saturday, April 10, 2009, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. 

Part 1: Sam Dinkins (pictured) leads an hour-long group percussion class for children and their families in Richmond Hall. Participants will learn to play as an ensemble on Da Camera’s new Rhythm Residency instruments.

Part 2: Sam Dinkins Quartet performs an eclectic jazz concert outdoors. Recommended for ages 6 and up.

This popular family concert series offers musical performances in different Menil settings, a pleasurable way to experience the various museums and galleries on the Menil campus, as well as a great introduction to music outside the usual repertoire.

Stop, Look and Listen are free family concerts presented by The Menil Collection and Da Camera of Houston. This concert series on The Menil Collection campus has quickly become a popular family event. Combine a visit to the museum with an interactive and informative concert.
