The Claire School of Dance presents New York Nutcracker 2009. Our 8th annual New York Nutcracker will be presented December 5th at Lambert Hall, 1703 Heights Blvd, at 5pm. This year, in lieu of a ticket, we are asking for canned foods or small cash donations for the sack lunch program.

The New York Nutcracker takes the music from Tchaikovsky’s holiday classic, adds a dash of the swinging Duke Ellington and a hint of Ella Fitzgerald, and mixes in the sass (and color scheme!) of Eloise at Christmastime. Set in the Plaza Hotel in 1950s New York, this modern version of a holiday classic is family-friendly.

Our Nutcracker is unlike any you’ve ever seen. It runs a family-friendly 45 minutes. Don’t miss it!

NOTE: This year, we have also been invited to be part of the Heights Holiday Home Tour. Excerpts from the 2009 New York Nutcracker will be performed at 2pm, Saturday, December 5th in the lobby of the Heights Library, 13th Street & Heights Blvd. There is no seating at this venue. Standing room is first come, first served.

Admission Info:

Seating is first come, first served. In lieu of tickets, we ask that you either bring a canned good contribution for the food pantry or make a donation at the door to the sack lunch fund for the homeless.
