The Foundation for Modern Music presents Legacy.  Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 7:30 PM in the Historic Magnolia Ballroom,  715 Franklin, Houston, TX 77002.

The Foundation for Modern Music is proud to present a tribute fundraising program and reception in memory of our late Artistic Director Robert Avalon. This multimedia program will feature music of Avalon, and also Vaughn Williams, Gaos, Warwick, and Rockmaker.

With performances by clarinetist Richard Nunemaker, sopranos Allison Greene (pictured) and Nereida García; pianist Paul Boyd, and baritone Raúl Orlando Edwards, along with a video performance by Robert Avalon, this program will be an evening of heartfelt music and memories of our beloved Robert Avalon.

Please join us for a wonderful celebration of Robert’s life and legacy, and greet old and new friends while enjoying drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and great music.

The Foundation for Modern Music is dedicated to supporting new music in the classical tradition and the musicians who create it, by offering concert performances, community and educational outreach, recording projects, and competitions for young composers. We encourage and celebrate the vigorous and diverse work of today’s composers and performers, in Houston and beyond.
