Planting on the Parkway was a great success and a perfect day to be on the bayou! Volunteers planted over 1,200 native plants of 30 different species at Buffalo Bend Nature Park. The day was filled with planting trees, getting together with friends and their pets, and enjoying the view.

The RedBuds, young environmental and community-conscious individuals, assist Trees for Houston with its program to plant and maintain native trees on Houston thoroughfares.

The Bayou Buddies, an affiliate of Buffalo Bayou Partnership, are comprised of young professionals interested in transforming Houston’s waterfront into an active and vibrant center, enriching the lives of its residents and attracting visitors from throughout the region.
