Dance Month at the Kaplan Theatre 2010 celebrates three decades of dance showcasing Houston’s talent as well as national dancers, teachers and choreographers. The Jewish Community Center of Houston will host a series of performances, concerts and workshops January 7 through February 20, 2010.

Dance Month begins with the return by request of the young Markid Dance leader from the south of Israel, Ofer Alfasi (pictured) and Tirkedu Houston 2010 - An Israeli Dance Workshop. This young Markid (dance leader) from the south of Israel has increasingly been making a mark both at home and abroad. Already a veteran of the IFD camp scene, Ofer is known for his wonderful teaching and harkadot, for his enthusiasm and for his personality. He will be focusing in part on what's hot in Israel. We are very pleased to welcome him back to Houston.
