    Dance Month at the Kaplan Theatre 2010 celebrates three decades of dance showcasing Houston’s talent as well as national dancers, teachers and choreographers. The Jewish Community Center of Houston will host a series of performances, concerts and workshops January 7 through February 20, 2010.

    Dance Month at the Kaplan Theatre 2010 celebrates three decades of dance showcasing Houston’s talent as well as national dancers, teachers and choreographers. The Jewish Community Center of Houston will host a series of performances, concerts and workshops January 7 through February 20, 2010.

    Sunday, January 24, Dance Month features  X-Dancing Master Class with Alex Arizpe.  X-Dancing is a blend between two worlds. The structured, disciplined, technical world of theatrical dance and the raw, unrestricted, free form world of street and social dance. The style of X-Dancing takes the fun and joy of free social and street dance moves and blends them with the more controlled and graceful techniques of ballet and jazz.

    For ages 13 and up.
