Herman's Hermits bring their own British invasion to The Grand 1894 Opera House for an exciting performance on Saturday, January 9 at 8 pm. Sponsored in part by Chemiplas and the Houston Chronicle, the squeaky-clean group -- which garnered three Grammy nods -- amassed 11 top-ten songs and sold more than 75 million records. From the swooning romanticism of "There's a Kind of Hush," to the bubblegum bop of "Into Something Good," Herman's Hermits are sure to deliver a night to remember!

This ‘60s British Invasion band sold millions of records and placed two dozen gold hits on the charts. The Hermits outsold the Beatles in ‘65 with “I’m Henry VIII” and “Mrs. Brown You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter.” Legendary frontman Peter Noone (pictured) and his band perform some of his all time greatest hits including “I’m Into Something Good,” “The End Of The World,” “What A Wonderful World” and many more.

Accompanied by his band, Herman’s Hermits, Noone consistently plays to sold-out venues the world over. He has a legion of faithful fans (known as “Noonatics”) whose loyalty is unparalleled. Today’s teen girls scream just as passionately as their mothers did back in 1965, prompting VH1 to select Peter as their viewer’s choice for the “Sexiest Artist of the Year”. Most recently, Noone starred in the recurring role of “Paddington” on the CBS daytime drama, As The World Turns. His colorful performances instantly made him a favorite of the soap opera magazines and online message boards. There is no doubt that Peter Noone’s extraordinary talent, disarming wit, handsome features and compelling stage presence will continue to delight fans of all ages, for a long, long time to come.

Ticket prices range from $18.50 to $88. Special discounts for group and senior citizen tickets may be available. For information about this and other performances scheduled, contact The Grand's box office at 409.765.1894, 800.821.1894, or visit The Grand’s web site at www.thegrand.com.
