Three Friends - Three Chairs - One Very Large Camera.  Dean's Credit Clothing Cocktail Lounge in Montrose (315 Fairview) presents The Stark Chair Project.  

Alexandra Gaisbauer, Stephanie Webb and Wendy Brown, founders  of The Stark Chair Project, connected over their love for photography.The three friends, all native Houstonians, started  The Stark Chair Project in 2008 after a friend lent them a  large 4x5 camera. With no prior large format experience,  Alexandra, Stephanie and Wendy set out to explore diverse  sites, learning camera skills through trial and error along the  way. The collection that will be shown at Dean's-Montrose  consists of ten of their favorite prints, as well as a  photograph taken at Dean's-Montrose.

Beginning January 6 through February 28, 2010, art from Alexandra Gaisbauer, Stephanie Webb and Wendy Brown's collection, The Stark Chair Project, will be on display at  Dean's Credit Clothing Cocktail Lounge-Montrose, located at 315  Fairview at Morgan. The photography will transform the hip,  urban lounge into an eclectic space full of diverse photography  to be enjoyed by all.

In addition, Dean's-Montrose will host a launch event for The Stark Chair Project on January 9, 2010 from 6-8 PM. Guests and admirers will have an opportunity to view art as well as mix  and mingle with the artists, while enjoying Dean's-Montrose's  drink specials.
