KIDS + FAMILIES

Children of all abilities are invited to participate in the 13th Annual Texas Children's Hospital Kids’ Fun Run, presented by BKD, LLP. The non-competitive 3K and 1K event is the kickoff to the 2010 Chevron Houston Marathon  weekend, giving all participants the opportunity to cross the official Marathon finish line!  At the Texas Children’s Hospital Kids’ Fun Run, every kid is a winner as they learn that fitness can be fun, a lesson that will last a lifetime.

When and Where
The event is Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston.

Who May Participate
All children ages 5-15 years (K-8), including children with special needs, are invited to participate in the 3K Run or Walk. Children with special needs may also choose to participate in the 1K Adaptive Run or Walk.

How to Register

Click here to register online. Pre-race registration is also available on Friday, January 15, 2010, at the Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Institute EXPO in the George R. Brown Convention Center. The event is limited to 5,000 participants.

Chevron Houston Marathon Connection
The 2010 race is the kickoff event for the Chevron Houston Marathon weekend. The race course covers a portion of the actual marathon course and all participants finish their run by crossing the official Chevron Houston Marathon finish line.
