    MJS Productions presents For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf, by Ntozake Shange.

    For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf is a choreopoem that was written by Ntozake Shange in the early 1970's. The cast consists of seven women who take you on an emotional journey as they explore the ups and downs of womanhood. "For Colored Girls ..." started as Ms. Schange's collection of personal poems and was transformed into a broadway hit winning accolades and awards including the prestigious Obie award. The choreopoem speaks to the issues many women face irrespective of their age, class, and status in life.

    The production will run January 30-31, 2010 at the Barnevelder Theater, 2201 Preston Street, Houston, TX 77003.
