DiverseWorks presents Debutantes Run Wild! The 2010 DiverseWorks Gala. Friday, February 19, 2010, 7:30 pm- Midnight.
Gala co-chairs Patrick and Tracey Keegan and the distinguished gala committee has selected The Bell Tower, 901 West 34th Street, 77018, (thebelltoweron34th.com) as the fitting locale for the Winter party of Houston’s most passionate contemporary art supporters. Honorees include Artists: Inversionists Dan Havel and Dean Ruck; and Molly Gochman. Visionary: Michelle Barnes, Founder and Executive Director of the Community Artists Collective; and Patrons of the Arts: John Guess, Jr. and Melanie Lawson.
Abandon those pearls, white gloves and prime white gowns because that kind of buttoned-up attitude won’t fly with the DiverseWorks crowd. D.J.s Tierney Malone and Danny B will keep all the Debs grooving; a tempting array of blue-chip Silent Auction items will keep the crowd bidding; while Barbara McKnight of Catering by Culinaire will make certain there are dainty delicacies for all to enjoy. Dripping Springs Vodka and Real Ale Brewing Company will provide the social lubricants. Be sure to get your court together now and secure a premiere spot for your table.
What’s with the Theme?
It's time to run WILD! We realize that when things get tough, we need to honor those who never let that get in the way. We're reclaiming that maverick spirit, and honoring some of those in our community who, though sometimes prim and proper, know when to let loose and GO FOR IT!
Funds raised by Debutantes Run Wild supports programming year-round at DiverseWorks Artspace and its cutting-edge visual, performing and literary art programs.
