The Menil Collection presents another in its Gallery Talk The Artist's Eye series.  Throughout the year, on the first Sunday of each month, a Houston artist talks about a work in the Menil Collection that has special meaning to him or her. The public is invited to these free, informal gallery discussions, which can be held in any Menil gallery or building (or outdoor space) of the artist’s choosing, begin at 3 p.m.

Amber Eagle was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her MFA and BFA in photography are from schools on opposite coasts of the United States. After completing a Core Fellowship at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, she received a grant to research sugar craft and fiestas in Mexico. Traveling the path of fiestas throughout the countryside, she fell in love with Mexico and now divides her time between there and Houston.
