    Rice University Shepherd School of Music presents a Guest Artist Recital. Featuring:  Steven Parker, solo trombone.

    Scheduled:   Presentation exploring the relationship of language and sound, bringing together many ways of communicating, from the contrapuntal language of J. S. Bach to the language of chimpanzees and Tuvan throat singing. Featuring electro-acoustic trombonist and Shepherd School alumnus Steven Parker, the program includes works by Corey Dargel, Kamala Sankaram, Arthur Gottschalk, Jacob ter Veldhuis, and Richard Lavenda.
