 Houston Family Arts Center Actors' Academy presents Little Women: The Broadway Musical, a musical based on Louisa May Alcott’s classic novel. Performances on the HFAC Garza Stage, 10760 Grant Road, Cypress, TX 77433. Opening Night: Friday, April 9, 2010; Complete Run: April 9-18, 2010.

Based on Louisa May Alcott's own family experiences (and novel), Little Women follows the adventures of Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March as they grow up in Civil War America. The beloved story of the March sisters is timeless and deals with issues as relevant today as when they were written. This wonderful narrative is been brought to life as an exhilarating new musical filled with glorious music, dancing and heart. Little Women embodies the complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing a night filled with laughter, tears and a lifting of the spirit. This powerful score soars with the sounds of personal discovery, heartache and hope…the sounds of a young America finding its voice.

This Tony Award-nominated musical is presented by students ages 13-19 and is guaranteed to bring this beautiful story alive for you.

THE PRODUCTION
HFAC is pleased to announce that Little Women will serve as the opening of the brand new HFAC Garza Stage. Named in honor of two of HFAC’s most influential and supportive patrons, this new 150-seat theatre is a state-of-the-art facility that will be used for both mainstage and academy productions and will enable HFAC to continue its mission of providing the northwest Houston community with quality family entertainment.

Members of the cast have appeared in TUTS mainstage and academy productions, have received Tommy Tune award nominations and attend some of the most recognized schools in the Houston area such as the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. They represent some of the finest young talent in Houston.
