    Experience local art exploring Gallery 3 at Winter Street Studios. Winter Street Studios is home to the largest group of some of Houston’s best artists. and is rapidly becoming one of Houston’s most unique and important art venues. February 11 through March 6. Gallery 3 presents Voices: Maryam Lavaf and Majid Roohafza.

    Voices features a fusion of contemporary abstract images with Persian calligraphy. For the first time in Houston a collaboration of paintings by Maryam and calligraphy by Majid. Persian artists expressing their hopes for freedom and democracy in Iran now. Opening reception Saturday February 13. 2010 From 6 to 9 pm.
