    McGonigel's Mucky Duck presents Jack Saunders.

    Jack Saunders has been a part of the Texas music scene since the 70’s, when he initially moved to Austin. He lived briefly in Dallas - and in the 80’s, made Houston his home. It wasn’t long before Jack was fronting his own band and backing up other singer/songwriters. Among the local talent was a young man named Shake Russell. At that time, Shake was enjoying tremendous success in Texas with his partner Dana Cooper. After their breakup in 1982, Jack joined what was then called "The Shake Russell Band". Jack’s partnership with Shake continued over 14 years.

    After an amicable split with Shake in 1996, Jack embarked upon a solo career.

    His gritty songs prove that Jack is set to confound the music biz, just like peers ranging from Jimmy LaFave to Joe Ely.
