Talento Bilingüe de Houston is proud to be a part of FOTOFEST BIENNIAL 2010 with OPUS Autonomía, Contemporary Latino Photography, a selection of works by local emerging and established Latino photographers organized by guest curator, Angel Quesada.

OPUS Autonomía is comprised of images depicting private metaphorical meditations on fantasy and memory. The works reveal conversations with the world, as Latinos living in a modernity, yet striving for a humanity that is unencumbered by stereotypes.

Mr. Quesada considers this collection of sensual, poetic and provocative imagery as a site-specific cultural affront in contrast to the lofts, townhouses, and condos surrounding TBH, and the trend spreading throughout the East End. For Quesada, TBH represents a vanguard spirit which continues to support pressing issues current to all.

The exhibition on view from March 31th to June 4th. Artist reception/discussion on March 31st from 6 p.m to 8 p.m.
