    Join Brigid's Place as we celebrate the 12th Annual Women's Seder - oppression, liberation, remembrance, Tuesday, April 13 at 6pm, in the beautiful Great Hall of Christ Church Cathedral.

    A Seder is a Passover ritual that recounts and celebrates the Exodus of the Jews from slavery in Egypt and their journey to freedom. The Haggadah or liturgy of the Women's Seder was written by and about Jewish women, focusing on the women of the Exodus and notable Jewish women of today.

    Some biblical scholars believe that Jesus' last supper was a Seder because it occurred during Passover. More recently the story of the Exodus figured prominently in the American civil rights movement. The Seder themes of oppression, liberation and remembrance are universal and timeless, so women of all faiths will find this a meaningful experience.

    Participants will be seated at tables of ten, each one led by Jewish women. Together with symbolic foods of Passover, a full meal will be provided by Fresh Foods Catering.

    Tickets are $30 and should be purchased in advance by registering online here. You may also purchase a ticket via check made payable to "Brigid's Place" and by mailing it to our office at the address listed below. A maximum number of 100 tickets will be issued.
