    The Our Image Film and Arts Festival presents its Monthly Screening Series and Networking Mixer this month featuring Electric Purgatory: The Fate of the Black Rocker, Wednesday, March 31.

    Electric Purgatory: The Fate of the Black Rocker is a documentary that examines the struggles of Black rock musicians and the industry's ambivalence toward them. Director Raymond Gayle spent a year traveling the United States interviewing many of Black Rock's elite including Fishbone, ?uest Love, Vernon Reid, Adam Falcon, Jimi Hazel, and Cody Chesnutt. Distinguished journalists share their opinions and insight on the dilemma facing these artists.

    Electric Purgatory: The Fate of the Black Rocker has screened at local and international film festivals. The Director, Raymond Gayle, will be present and participate in a brief discussion/Q & A after the screening.

    Kerry Melason of the band Satin Hooks (www.myspace.com/satinhooks)  will perform a 15 minute set before the screening.
