The Jung Center of Houston presents An Artistic Union: George and Judith Gonzalez, on view September 1 through September 28. Artists: Judith Mroski-Gonzalez and George Gonzalez.

Judith creates realistic portraits, figurative and still life paintings in oil that strive to preserve the tradition of realism in art that has been inspired by the techniques of the Old Masters. With soft brush strokes and a quiet palette she creates detailed and realistic paintings of scenes taht invite us to reflect upon calm and treasured moments.

George is well known for his painstakingly rendered still life paintings but his subjects transition easily from traditional realism to surrealism. Still life painting is his genre of choice because it offers him control over the subject matter, the ability to arrange and rearrange his actors on an ever-changing stage.
