    The John C. Freeman Weather Museum celebrates its fourth birthday on Earth Day, a free day-long event for the whole family, Thursday, April 22.

    The Weather Museum is holding a free day/celebration on April 22, 2010 from 10am to 4pm. We'll have numerous earth day themed activities (coloring sheets, earth day picture frames, rain guage relay among others) along with local conservation groups as exhibitors.

    The John C. Freeman Weather Museum, located at 5104 Caroline in the Museum District, opened its doors in April of 2006 to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.

    Founded and operated by meteorologists, the Weather Museum is a project of Weather Research Center, a Houston, Texas based non-profit educational and research organization, whose goal is to reach as many people as possible and educate them about weather and weather safety.
