The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston presents How to Visit the Art Museum, Thursday, April 29, at 6:30—8:30 p.m., and repeated, Saturday, May 1, 2:00—4:00 p.m. Meet in Farish Classroom, lower level of the Audrey Jones Beck Building. Ever felt like you could use some guidance as to how to visit the art museum—how to navigate its many galleries, how to make sense of what you´re looking at, and how to do all of this without wearing yourself out? Well, then, this program is for you! Come and find out how to wander with a purpose.

How to Visit the Art Museum is for anyone who wants ideas about how to get the most out of his or her visit. Facilitated by MFAH Educators, this program will provide general background about the museum setting and exhibitions, as well as specific tips to help visitors reinvigorate their relationship with the art museum. Part classroom-discussion and part in-gallery workshop, this program is part of a series which invites attendees to think about tools for engaging, interpreting, and experiencing art.
