DiverseWorks ArtSpace presents Luck of the Draw 9: The Musical!

Great art that will make your heart sing – created by locally and nationally known artists, some of whom have exhibited at DiverseWorks ArtSpace over the past several years – available at affordable prices. It’s not a song and dance – it’s DiverseWorks’ highly anticipated summer auction, Luck of the Draw 9: The Musical! on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at DiverseWorks ArtSpace, located at 1117 East Freeway, Houston, 77002.

This is DiverseWorks, so expect a raucous good time accompanied by great food including mini hot dogs from The Lake House Waterside Cafe, Poparazzi’s Gourmet Popcorn and Sprinkles Cupcakes; yummy candy from The Chocolate Bar/Candylicious; flowing libations from Real Ale Brewing Company and a two show-stopping musical numbers performed by the talented High School for Performing and Visual Arts Group Choir to get things rolling.

Co-chairs J. Douglas Parker and Karen Niemeier, along with Executive Co-Directors Diane Barber and Sixto Wagan invite you to get your Glee on and support DiverseWorks!

Luck of the Draw is just that. You buy your art chance ticket, you get your number. Numbers are called at random, and when it's your turn, you grab your art from more than 200 outstanding selections.

There are four ways to support DiverseWorks and acquire great art at Luck of the Draw 9: The Musical!:

Option 1: SOLD OUT First 5 Art Chance Exclusive Access tickets for $500 each that allow supporters first dibs on the more than 200 phenomenal artworks in the Luck of the Draw.

Option 2: Top 20 Art Chance Access tickets for $250 each, guarantees the holder a choice from within the next 15 numbers called. LIMITED AVAILABILTY: contact Tracey Morton, DiverseWorks Administrative Manager, at 713.223.8646 or tracey@diverseworks.org  to purchase the remaining tickets now.

Option 3: A $100 Art Chance Ticket will offer you your pick of one of the remaining, spectacular artworks included in the summer auction. Buy now! After June 1, your Art Chance Ticket is $125.

Option 4: If you just want to party with the fun and fabulous crowd at DiverseWorks, pick up a $25 ticket and enjoy the show stopping musical extravaganza, the pumped up Auction atmosphere and refreshments.

All artworks in Luck of the Draw 9 are approximately 8.5" x 11" and were created by artists from all over the world.

Luck of the Draw 9 sponsorships are available including: "Standing Ovation" at the $1,000 level; "Encore" at the $500 level; and "Curtain Call" at the $250 level. Funds raised by the DiverseWorks 2010 Summer Auction benefit the arts and arts education programs budget of DiverseWorks ArtSpace.
