Blue Willow Bookshop presents a book signing and discussion with Jenna Blum. Join us as we welcome Jenna Blum, author of store favorite Those Who Save Us. She will be in town to kick off the tour for her newest book, The Stormchasers.

The Stormchasers is a contemporary novel set in the fictional Minnesota town of New Heidelburg; the city of Minneapolis; and the lonely, majestic rural corridor of Tornado Alley. The novel focuses on the Hallingdahl twins, a brother and sister who are both fascinated with severe weather. The brother, a stormchaser, is also bipolar, and his sister is his caretaker; when the brother’s disorder causes a terrible event, the sister struggles with how to keep it and its aftermath a secret. As the novel follows how the twins’ bond twists and changes, The Stormchasers explores the question of how much we owe our siblings—and at what cost to ourselves.

JENNA BLUM is the author of the New York Times bestseller Those Who Save Us (Harcourt, 2004) and The Stormchasers (Dutton), available May 27, 2010. Jenna attended Kenyon College and Boston University, where she taught writing for five years and was the fiction editor for AGNI literary magazine. Currently, Jenna runs master novel workshops for Grub Street Writers in Boston, where she lives. She spends her non-writing time on the road talking to book clubs about Those Who Save Us, which in addition to being a New York Times bestseller was a Boston Globe bestseller, the winner of the 2005 Ribalow Prize, a Borders Book Club pick, and a favorite with book clubs across the country (Jenna has visited over 800 book clubs in the Boston area alone).

Jenna is very excited for her author tour for The Stormchasers, a novel she researched by chasing tornadoes for five years with the stormchase company Tempest Tours.
