Apollo Chamber Players presents Apollo Travels the Globe, Friday, June 4th, 2010 at 8:00pm, in Hobby Center - Zilkha Hall.

Join the Apollo Chamber Players as they explore and highlight the distinct ethnic and folk-inspired music traditions of various regions and culture of the globe. Enjoy the Spanish flare of Sarasate's 'Navarra' violin duo, the spellbinding virtuosity of Bazzini's 'Round of the Goblins,' the expressive elegance of Debussy's violin sonata, and the alluring titillation of Dvorak's famed Piano Quintet in A Major, Op. 81.

Showcased on the program will be a set of unique and never-before-heard transcriptions of folk melodies and songs from Greece, America (Appalachia), and Venezuela, as well as an exclusive premiere presentation of the 'Lost' Mozart work, found by accident in the archives of a French library!

Performers include violinists Matthew Detrick and Timothy Peters, violist Matthew Carrington, cellist Matthew Dudzik, and pianist Neal Kurz.

Please join us for a night of musical globetrotting!
