Ad Deum Dance Company presents the Ad Deum Dance Company Special 10th Anniversary Performance.
Ad Deum Dance Company thrives on their mission to create and perform contemporary dance works that serve as intimate offerings to enrich and inspire their audiences. Their tenth year anniversary performances May 22nd @ 8pm and May 23rd at 3pm at Barnevelder Movement Arts Complex are filled with such works, bringing back some of their most celebrated choreography and some fresh premeieres by several choreographers.
Artistic Director Randall Flinn will present his recent creation Journey to Promise, an epic work that depicts the longing and hope of pressing towards promises that are still unseen. Wonderous Beast, the Cirque-Pilobo like design from choreographer Bill Wade will lend its wit and humor to the mix. Former Houston Ballet dancer, Caleb Mitchell will present his new work Innerings, with his dynamics of balletic athletics and sublime artistry. Steve Rooks, former principal dancer for Martha Graham will offer his Rwanda Cry, a personal story of how one brave Rwandan girl literally danced for her own life.
Flinn will also present Innocence Not Lost, a revealing look into the lives of those trapped in the bondage of human trafficking and the hope to discover restoration. Against The Flow, Flinn’s fusion of Fosse meets Bach with modern dance flair will close the program both evenings with its own Broadway’s benediction.
