    Please join Houston Arts Alliance on Sunday, May 16 at the Angelika Film Center for the 5:45pm showing of  A SURPRISE IN TEXAS.

    Chopin, Liszt and Beethoven set the impassioned tone for Emmy® award-winning director/producer Peter Rosen’s latest documentary: A SURPRISE IN TEXAS. This moving, musical account follows 30 competitors from 14 countries who travel to Fort Worth, Texas for the prestigious Van Cliburn International Piano competition.

    Rosen captures unbelievable talent and compelling human journeys including that of Nobuyuki Tsujii, an award-wining pianist blind since birth. A SURPRISE IN TEXAS goes behind the scenes of the rigorous competition schedules and showcases the warm hospitality extended by Texas host families to competitors from all around the globe.
