Always, Patsy Cline Extended through July 3rd at Texas Repertory Theatre Co.  Due to overwhelming audience response, The Texas Repertory Theatre Co., Houston’s Uptown Classic Theatre, has extended its limited engagement run of the beloved jukebox musical comedy Always, Patsy Cline, by adding 3 additional performances July 1st, 2nd, & 3rd.

The Texas Repertory Theatre Co., Houston’s Uptown Classic Theatre, continues its season with the beloved jukebox musical comedy Always, Patsy Cline, by Ted Swindley. Featuring the stars of The Texas Repertory’s 2007 production, Julia Laskowski and Lyndsay Sweeney, Always, Patsy Cline is a tune-filled valentine to the country music icon, featuring 27 of her best-loved tunes, and wrapped into a charming story of friendship with a deeply Bayou-city connection. Always, Patsy Cline will preview June 3rd, celebrate its gala opening June 4th, and run 4 performances a week through June 27th.

Always, Patsy Cline is the story of a friendship that began in 1962 between Country music icom Patsy Cline and Houston housewife Louise Seeger. From a chance meeting at a Bayou city honky tonk, through the tragic events of her early death, Always, Patsy Cline is a chronicle of the intimate friendship they shared and the more personal and touching aspects of Patsy Cline’s life. Houston singer/actress Julia Laskowski portrays the country singing star in a performance that is both heartfelt in the freshness of its interpretation as well as uncanny in the accuracy of the vocal nuances particular to lovers of Cline’s music. Joined by Texas Repertory favorite Lyndsay Sweeney as her friend Louise, Always, Patsy Cline is a not-to-be-missed theatrical event that features 27 of Cline’s best-loved tunes, including “Walkin’ After Midnight”, “Crazy”, and “Sweet Dreams”.
