    In the late 1880's, Frank Lenz of Pittsburgh dreamed of cycling around the world. He finally began his quest and made it to the final leg before disappearing somewhere in Turkey. His disappearance sparked an outcry and led another cyclist, William Sachtleben, to go in seach of Lenz.

    David V. Herlihy is a freelance writer living in Boston, Massachusetts.  We're pleased to partner with Bicycle World to welcome David Herlihy to Houston!
