The Country Playhouse presents Hello, Dolly!, presented on the Cerwinske Stage.  Directed by John Lazo.  Playing July 8 through July 24.

The divine Dolly Levi, matchmaker and professional meddler, arrives in turn-of-the-20th-century New York to find a wife for the grumpy Horace Vandergelder. But she becomes a willing pawn in her own matchmaking capers! With lyrics and music by Jerry Herman and a book by Michael Stewart, Hello, Dolly! is based on Thornton Wilder's 1938 farce The Merchant of Yonkers, which Wilder revised and retitled The Matchmaker in 1955.

First produced by David Merrick in 1964 on Broadway, Hello, Dolly! won the Tony Award for Best Musical - and nine other Tonys. Hello, Dolly! has become one of the most enduring musical theatre hits, with three Broadway revivals and international success. It was also made into a 1969 film that was nominated for seven Academy Awards.
