    TIM SPENCER
My name is Tim Spencer. I live in my own world, oblivious to anything outside of my bubble. However, nothing offends me, weird is good, anything and everything is wonderful. I am a graphic designer and an illustrator. Music and art are my passions in life. I will never be bored and I will always strive to be better. Friends and family are very important to me as well. With them, I experience the world and make sense of these dynamic experiences.

    MATTHEW OBERPRILLER
Born and raised in Houston, TX, Matthew Oberpriller has always seen things in a different way and marched to the beat of his own drum. Taking inspiration from skateboarding, graffiti, hard times, daydreams, love, hate and everyday emotions, he creates a place that is home to skulls, teddy bears, lost humans and monsters - just to name a few. He is now starting to show his work, which is long over due. He creates his own little world and enjoys visiting often. If you're not doing anything later, you should stop by.

    LISA MARIE GODFREY
Lisa Marie Godfrey studied works on paper at The Glassell School of Art, Houston, Texas, where she graduated in 2006. Godfrey’s technique varies but most often consists of creating site-specific installations combining works on paper, found objects and direct wall painting. Through narrative drawings she explores her sense of self and how she relates to the world around her. She continues to explore themes about creating personal mysticisms and beliefs.

Godfrey has had solo shows in Houston, Texas and has been invited to participate in group shows in The United States and Canada.

She currently lives and works in Houston, TX.

    VERONICA RAMOS
Veronica Ramos, 24, native houstonian has had a longterm, love-hate, relationship with art. Experiments with illustration and photography, as well as mixed media. Many of her recent works have been collaborations with other local and international artist mainly, Mexico. FABIAN OWENS

    Fabian Ray Owens

    Title Focus: enigmatic prestidigitation

Favorite Quote: “war is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is power.” George Orwell

Advice to the viewer: vote for your television as your president, it’s your future, it is all knowing, all powerful.

    AARON CASAS
Aaron Richard Casas, 27 year old Hispanic male, born and raised in San Antonio, TX. As long as I can remember I have always enjoyed being creative and artistic. Growing up with an artistic older brother greatly influenced and inspired me to develop my own artistic path. To turn my passion into a career, I attended the Art Institute of Houston and graduated with a B.A. in Graphic Design. Over the years of producing art I have learned that art is more than a visual, but a universal language that has no boundaries.

    ISAAC SOLOMON
Born and raised in Houston. OG HATER photographer. Got the tat to prove it. He’s probably shot your favorite rapper. You probably just know him as the dude with the dreads and the camera. The Dreaded Photo is committed to putting an end to whack photos. He’s also getting into video to take more of your money. Remember, you can’t spell “dope” without DP.” Does that sound pretentious? Haha I’m an artist, not a writer!

Since its inception in 2001, Spacetaker has provided Houston artists with the tools they need to become successful. While the nonprofit began with a simple idea: to provide a place on the web - spacetaker.org - for Houston artists and organizations to promote their work, it has since grown into a dynamic organization that provide access to economic development, continuing education and networking opportunities. Spacetaker recently expanded its services to offer a functioning gallery, utilizing its existing Artist Resource Center (ARC) at Winter Street as a multi-purpose room and gallery.

About Spacetaker: Spacetaker is a 501(c)3 professional organization and Artist Resource Center located in Houston's First Ward whose mission it to provide artists and small non-profits access to economic development, continuing education, and networking opportunities to support their professional growth.
