Hope Stone presents Hopewerks #6:  Stand by...and go,  part of the Hopewerks residency program.   June 26, 2010 @ 7:30 p.m. and June 27, 2010 @ 1:00 p.m. At the Hope Stone Studio, 1210 W. Clay St., Suite 26, (entrance/parking on Van Buren St.).

Hopewerks #6 features a  collection of works incorporating live music, dance, and song is a family friendly performance presented by:  Hope Stone Artist Residency recipient Natasha Manley in collaboration with Alex Soares, Chris Howard, Jessi Harper, Jon Sewing, Kristen Frankiewicz, Lindsey Thompson, Melisa Rose, Nicole McNeil, Pelayo Parlade, and Tina Sharifskul.

Hopewerks is a three-month space grant offered to young up and coming choreographers and performance artists to help assist them in the early stages of their artistic journey. Hope Stone, Inc. understands the many “mountains” young artists face with expenses, creative time, and performance opportunities and offers these residencies to help support and assist them. The artists are given unlimited rehearsal time, space permitting, over a three-month period and then present a showing or “work in progress” performance at Hope Center at the end of the three months.

Hope Center offers between 3-4 residencies a year to new artists, and also helps each group to present their work in a professional way.
