Come join Brigid's Place & The Magdalen Community in celebrating the Feast Day of St. Mary Magdalene! The event not only honors Mary Magdalene but also continues our exploration of the Charter for Compassion by examining the foundational concept of compassion for self as the cornerstone of compassion for others. Join us Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Live Oaks Friends Meeting House.
Celebrate the Feast Day of Mary the Magdalene as a wise woman, healer, myrrh bearer, and apostle of compassion. Participants will learn about Mary Magdalene’s legacy of compassion with a focus on the compassion for the self. The celebration will include remarks on Mary Magdalene, meditation, group discussion, and an opportunity for the participants to anoint and bless themselves and each other.
Libations and refreshments will be served.

Tickets are $35 and may be purchased online in advance by clicking here. Libations and refreshments will be served. As always, you may also mail a check made payable to "Brigid's Place" to 1117 Texas Avenue, Houston, Texas 77002.
