    MG Entertainment presents the Charlie 'Bird' Parker Birthday Bash. Sunday, August 29, 4pm-7pm, at Midtown Art Center.

    The Charlie Parker Birthday Bash ( August 29 is Parker's birtday) is an annual music celebration, honoring the legendary jazz innovator and creator of be-bop Charlie “Yard Bird” Parker (pictured). The concert will featuring the best of the best local jazz musicians and featured guests performing bebop, straight head, and contemporary jazz selections.

    Celebration will have a raffle, refreshments, and sale of CD’s and DVD’s. Part of the proceeds from the celebration will be given to Midtown Art Center for the revival of music, art,dance and theater programs.
