Brazos Bookstore is pleased to welcome former District Attorney of Harris County, Carol Vance for an in-store appearance on Thursday, July 22, 2010, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM where he will discuss and sign his new book, Boomtown DA.

Houston was the fastest growing city in the country during Vance’s tenure as DA -- a true boomtown. And along with the population explosion came a boom in crime. About the author: Carol Vance was the District Attorney of Harris County (Houston) Texas, from 1966 to 1979. Vance is now retired from a partnership at Bracewell & Giuliani.
