    The Texas Repertory Theatre Co., Houston’s Uptown Classic Theatre, opens its 2010-2011 “Reach for the Stars” Season with the modern comedy classic Moon Over Buffalo, by Ken Ludwig. A backstage comedy that is a loving valentine to theatre hams everywhere, Moon Over Buffalo will preview on July 29th, celebrate its Gala Opening on July 30th, and run 4 performances a week through August 22nd.

    This backstage farce comedy loads up the laughs as Charlotte and George Hay (an acting couple not exactly the Lunts) are on tour in Buffalo with famous Hollywood director Frank Capra in attendance to scout their performance! What will Capra see…Cyrano, Private Lives, or a disturbing mixture of the two?

    Hilarious misunderstandings pile on madcap misadventures in this homage to a golden era of theatrical comedies! A jewel of a modern farce, Moon Over Buffalo is the perfect beginning to a laugh-filled season! Featuring a cast of audience favorites, with several making thier debut on The Texas Repertory stage under the direction of Texas Repertory Artistic Director Craig Miller, Moon Over Buffalo promises to be an outstanding beginning to an outstanding season.

    Opening its 6th season, The Texas Repertory Theatre Co. continues to bring world-class professional theatrical productions to the NW Houston area. Moon Over Buffalo will preview on July 29th, celebrate its Gala Opening on July 30th, and run 4 performances a week through August 22nd.
