Brave Dog Players presents A Reading of "SAVE ME" by Stefanie Zadravec, Monday, July 26 at 7:30pm at Stages Repertory Theatre, 3201 Allen Parkway .

"Save Me" by Stefanie Zadravec, won the Phoenix Theater’s National Playwriting Competition, Baltimore Playwright’s Festival’s Carol Weinberg Award and was a nominee/finalist for the Cherry Lane Mentor Project, Futurefest, and the Jane Bingham Award.

Beth, a born-again Christian, comes to New York to save her estranged sister from a brain tumor, but ends up saving her daughter and herself. Save Me delivers its miracles in odd packages: a bright red wig, a postcard from the edge, a superhero sex–addict, and a bouquet of flowers from a woman without a nose.

This is the first reading produced by Brave Dog Players. Admission is free, though there is a $5 suggested donation. A talkback led by Dr. Robert Shimko will follow the reading.

The reading features Jennifer Gilbert, Georgi Silverman, Rick Silverman, and Kim Tobin, and will be directed by Philip Lehl.
