The Moores School of Music at the University of Houston and Music at St. Philip at St. Philip Presbyterian Church present  the Fourth Annual Concert For Peace, Saturday, October 2, at 7:30pm, at St. Philip Presbyterian Church 4807 San Felipe Street, Houston, TX 77056.

The Concert for Peace combines music, poetry and meditative silence into an evening of spiritual and contemplative adventure, reflecting our collective intention to put thought and prayer into action.

Featuring the Moores School of Music Concert Chorale under the direction of Betsy Cook Weber and organ music performed by graduate students at the Moores School of Music.

In addition, poetry on themes of peace will be read by Rich Levy, Poet and Executive Director of Inprint; Fady Joudah, M.D., poet, author and translator of the poetic works of the Palestinian poet, Mahmoud Darwish; and Martha Serpas, Professor of Poetry, University of Houston.
