SPAMMO and Houston Institute for Culture presents New Bayou City Stories: New Digital Works from Emerging Media Makers, Friday August 6th at 6:30pm @Houston Institute for Culture, 708-C Telephone Road, Houston, Texas 77023. (Right next door to Bohemeos).

New Bayou City Stories: New Digital Works from Emerging Media Makers will include works produced by the Dawn Project, Centre for Digital Storytelling, Houston Institute for Culture, Yates H. S. Photography Program and FotoFest Literacy Through Photography.

New Bayou City Stories is an innovative program of comedy and dramatic digital short stories about locality, interconnectedness, and the individual. Largely produced by first time media makers, these exciting shorts offer a glimpse into the lives of our fellow Houstonians and thus a glimpse into the life of the city.

Come be a part of this dynamic movement in art and democracy by learning more about digital storytelling and perhaps creating your own digital story. Digital storytellers will be in attendance and a panel discussion will follow with Houston Institute for Culture, The Dawn Project, Yates H. S. Photography Program and FotoFest.

This event is free. $7 donations are accepted. No one will be turned away. Light snacks will be served.
