Verizon Wireless Theater presents  Black Label Berzerkus: Black Label Society (pictured).  With special guests Clutch & Children of Bodom.

Legendary rocker Zakk Wylde has announced the creation of The Black Label Berzerkus, a rock n' roll night of excess and unique madness! Headlined by Wylde's infamous Black Label Society, the extensive two-month long North American trek will also feature Clutch, and Children Of Bodom. Hand-picked by Wylde himself, Children Of Bodom and Clutch will share the main support slot. Kicking off on September 21st at Roseland in Portland, OR, the tour will make stops across the US and Canada, and will pack a powerful punch of music and debauchery.

Zakk Wylde, known worldwide for his guitar prowess and over-the-top stage presence, was looking at other rock festivals and saw the need for a value-priced tour of his own - particularly one that caters to the need of his unique demographic of fans, known as Berzerkers. It was an easy decision, says Wylde, summing it up like only he can, "If you don't get invited to the party, start your f'ing own!" Children Of Bodom commented, "COB is more than ready to head out on Berzerkus and see all of our great fans. Expect nothing but a good time, Bodom style!"

Black Label Society's first new album in four years, "Order Of The Black," will be released in North America via E1 Music on August 10th. The first single from the album, "Parade Of The Dead" will be delivered to radio later this month and is available now for streaming on www.zakkwylde.com and www.blacklabelsociety.com and for purchase on iTunes. "Order Of The Black" will feature four unique covers designed by Zakk Wylde himself - one for each territory: North America, Europe, Asia and Australia/New Zealand.

    About Zakk Wylde/Black Label Society
In the two decades since Ozzy Osbourne hired him away from his job at a New Jersey gas station, Zakk Wylde has established himself as a guitar icon known and revered the world over. Wylde has won nearly every guitar award imaginable, graced countless magazine covers and is a major influence to a new battalion of rock guitarists. Writing and recording with Osbourne led to multi-platinum success, inspiring him to create the now iconic Black Label Society in 1998. In the decade plus since, BLS has turned the notion of what a rock band should be upside down by inspiring legions of fans (known as Berserkers) all over the world to follow the mantra: Strength, Determination, Merciless, Forever (SDMF for short). Wylde and his Berserkers have established a heavy metal institution true to the vision of uncompromising, unfiltered and unrestrained rock n' roll. To date, Black Label Society has sold more than 3.5 million albums worldwide and continues to be a massive presence on the worldwide touring and merchandising circuits.

    About Children Of Bodom
Children Of Bodom's enthralling mix of modern heavy metal, melodic hooks and the guitar acrobatics of front man and guitar hero Alexi Laiho have solidified the critically acclaimed band as one of the most revered metal acts in the world. The group's latest studio album Blooddrunk skyrocketed to #22 on Billboard's Top 200 chart and scored the quintet a #1 debut in its native Finland. Laiho was named "Best Metal Guitarist" in the 2008 Guitar World Reader's Poll and his playing on the band's 2003 release Hate Crew Deathroll earned the album a place among the magazine's "50 Greatest Guitar Albums" of all time, alongside records by Jimi Hendrix,Van Halen and Metallica. The unit has been called "technically dazzling" by the New York Times and "One of the most talented metal bands of our time" by contemporary media conglomerate VICE. Clearly, Laiho and Children Of Bodom are one of the leading voices of metal's new generation.

    About Clutch
The Clutch story begins with eight full-length albums and three EPs recorded/released through five different labels, thousands of concerts played, multiple songs receiving College Radio, Modern Rock, Mainstream Rock & MTV airplay, and nearly 1.5 million units sold. In 2008, Clutch band members Neil Fallon, Tim Sult, Dan Maines and Jean Paul Gaster, along with longtime manager Jack Flanagan, dove into uncharted waters and opened their own fully- operational music label, Weathermaker Music. Weathermaker issued Clutch's first long-form concert DVD "Full Fathom Five, Video Field Recordings" and the accompanying live CD, "Full Fathom Five, Audio Field Recordings". With NO distribution in place, the CD and DVD still entered Billboard at #155 and #178 respectively. The next few months were spent touring and forging the Weathermaker-Sony/RED label-distribution partnership. After re-issuing the rarities CD "Slow Hole to China" in Feb '09, Clutch entered the studio in the spring and recorded the epic "Strange Cousins From the West" CD. After releasing the "50,000 Unstoppable Watts" single in July, "Strange Cousins..." debuted at #35 on the billboard Top 200 Album chart and #17 on the Top 100 Digital Album chart, thus achieving the highest chart positions of the band's storied career!
