The Jung Center of Houston presents a Special Jung Center of Houston Lecture in the Woodlands: Never Waste a Good Crisis.  Psychologist Herb Agan explores how life's disruptions and wounds can lead to transformation. Wednesday, December 1, 7 - 8:30 pm. Location: Interfaith Center | 4242 Interfaith Way (formerly Woodrush Dr.), The Woodlands, Texas.

Loss, defeat, and disappointment are inevitable, difficult to accept, and harder to understand. Yet, these crises, whether personal or collective, can be an invitation to enter into consciousness and the unfolding of our larger story. The destruction of our constricted attitudes and limited sense of possibility opens the heart, as Jung said, "until the unconscious produces those symbols that bring us back into the original symbolic life." Then, on a deeper level, we may find Nature's intent for our lives.

This lecture will explore life's sacred wounds as transformative "necessities" in our journey toward meaning and wholeness, as we dare to live courageous, authentic lives.

Herb Agan, EdD, is a psychologist and family therapist in practice for 30 years. He has long studied the integration of theology and psychology and regularly lectures in business, community and religious settings. He serves as a visiting professor at the University of Houston.
