The Tipping Point presents Urban Assault: Spacetaker Benefit Party, featuring the artwork of Kevin Peterson and the sounds of Seth Jones of Soular Grooves. Join us on Saturday August 14th at The Tipping Point from 6-10 p.m. for an incredible evening of art, music, food and drink benefiting Spacetaker. A suggested donation of $50 at the door will benefit Spacetaker and its ongoing programs. Urban Assault is hosted by Spacetaker board members Jonathan Beitler, Elaine Conway, and Thomas Nauls.

Kevin Peterson is a Houston artist, whose work is about the varied journeys we take through life. His paintings are about trauma, fear, loneliness and the strength it takes to survive and thrive. Seth Jones is part of the DJ troupe Soular Grooves, a critically acclaimed group of talent that includes such names as DJ Sun, Suma, Josh Zulu, DJ Melodic, Bosco, Mr. Grinch, DJ Pooks, DJ Nine, Jeff Cmo, Sumo, Esteban Torres and Brotha Jibril. Soular Grooves prides itself on genre-bending (the tempo and style of the music varies), with the common denominators are undoubtedly soul and jazz elements.
