Blue Willow Bookshop presents Alexandra Adornetto, Monday, October 4, at 7pm.  Believe it or not, author Alexandra Adornetto is eighteen years old – who better to write for young adults? She’s written Halo, a beautiful novel about angels who come to earth and we are pleased to give this young Australian a mighty Texas welcome.

Nothing much happens in the sleepy town of Venus Cove. But everything changes when three angels are sent from heaven to protect the town against the gathering forces of darkness: Gabriel, the warrior; Ivy, the healer; and Bethany, a teenage girl who is the least experienced of the trio. They work hard to conceal their true identity and, most of all, their wings. But the mission is threatened when the youngest angel, Bethany, is sent to high school and falls in love with the handsome school captain, Xavier Woods.

Will she defy the laws of Heaven by loving him? Things come to a head when the angels realize they are not the only supernatural power in Venus Cove. There′s a new kid in town and he′s charming, seductive and deadly. Worst of all, he′s after Beth.

Alexandra (Ally) Adornetto is the 18 year old Australian author of the internationally acclaimed HALO series. Her previous works include the best-selling books 'The Shadow Thief', 'The Lampo Circus' and 'Von Gobstopper's Arcade'. Her first novel was published by Harper Collins when she was thirteen years old. Her family includes a three-legged cat called Rosie-Mittens, a spaniel named Muffy-Boo and a Chihuahua called Tinkerbelle.

Alexandra is currently splitting her time between Australia and the USA as she works on the HALO project. Her passions include theology, country music, acting and singing. In the future Alexandra hopes to combine novel writing and performing.
