    Gente de Teatro celebrates its 15th anniversary with a renowned contemporary classic.  In celebrating of Gente de Teatro's 15th anniversary, the Department of Hispanic Studies & the CSL of Rice University, the Institute of Hispanic Culture of Houston*, the Consulate General of Argentina in Houston, Casa Argentina de Houston, Continental Airlines, and Fiesta proudly present Gente de Teatro's production of renowned contemporary classic Made in LanúsMade in Lanús, by Nelly Fernández Tiscorniaone, is of the most successful Argentine plays of the last 20 years. Running September 9 through September 12, in Rice University's Hamman Hall.

    Yoli, Negro, Mabel & Osvaldo describe with exquisite sensitivity and simplicity both the dilemmas faced by potential immigrants upon deciding whether to leave or stay in their country and the dilemmas face by those that have already immigrated.

     (Performances in Spanish).

    Assistant Director: Carmen Falla Aramayo.
    Cast: Sergio Amsel, Ana Ilvento Scuseria, Claudia Soroka, and Jorge Zambra.

    September 9 & September 12: $10
    September 10: $20 (Friday's ticket includes admission to reception celebrating 15 years of Gente de Teatro)
    September 11: $15
