The Orange Show presents their 2010 Fall Concert Series Season Opener!!!! Join the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art as we kick off the 2010 fall concert series on September 9th with Pillars and Tongues from Chicago.
With just three members, Pillars and Tongues manage to craft powerful folk, gospel, and blues together along with trance-inducing vocal dynamics. They are currently touring the US to support their most recent LP, “Lay of Pilgrim Park"..."it’s hard to believe Lay of Pilgrim Park is the work of just three people in the same room,” says Jason Crock, Pitchfork.
Get here early for an opening set by Houston’s listenlisten, "Gorgeous folk-rock... the good kind of sad — a sympathetic voice to guide you through a crash-landing at the end of the world” eMusic, and RollingStone.com called their 2009 full-length, "Hymns From Rhodesia"..."a spellbinding collection of country-gospel songs haunted by loneliness and loss".
Don’t miss a wonderful night of genre defying music and magic at the Orange Show. Admission is only $10 for a spectacular evening- seats will sell fast at the door, so come early! Doors 7:00pm/ Show 8:00pm.
