The John C. Freeman Weather Museum presents New York Times bestselling author, Rachel Caine, who will be available for a book signing at The Weather Museum on August 21, 2010 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

Come enjoy a release party, complete with music and food to celebrate the launch of TOTAL ECLIPSE, the last Weather Warden novel. Cupcakes by Crave, music, prizes and more! Rachel will do a reading and a signing. You are welcome to bring any of the books from the series.  Copies of Total Eclipse will be on sale.

The last book in the internationally bestselling Weather Warden series! However bad the situation has looked for Weather Warden Joanne Baldwin before, this time, it’s personal ... for Mother Earth. With the waking of the Earth itself, it looks like humanity’s time at the top of the food chain is over, unless the Wardens sacrifice everything to stop the extinction. For Joanne, it’s even more terrifying, as she faces the end, along with her Djinn husband David, without the powers they need to defend themselves.

Rachel Caine is a pen name of Roxanne Longstreet Conrad, an American writer of science fiction, fantasy, mystery, suspense, and horror novels. Conrad also publishes media tie-in novels as Julie Fortune. Rachel Caine has been writing and publishing novels and short stories since 1991. She is a former professional musician who has the distinction of having played with such musical legends as Henry Mancini, Peter Nero and John Williams.

The John C. Freeman Weather Museum, located at 5104 Caroline in the Museum District, opened its doors in April of 2006 to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.  Founded and operated by meteorologists, the Weather Museum is a project of Weather Research Center, a Houston, Texas based non-profit educational and research organization, whose goal is to reach as many people as possible and educate them about weather and weather safety.
