    The Texas Repertory Theatre Co., Houston’s Uptown Classic Theatre, continues its 2010-2011 Season with the classic psychological thriller SLEUTH by Anthony Shaffer. This murder mystery tour-de-force will preview September 23rd, celebrate its Gala Opening on September 24th, and run 4 performances a week until October 17th.

    SLEUTH is the ultimate game of cat-and-mouse, played out in a cozy English country house owned by celebrated mystery writer Andrew Wyke. Milo Tindle arrives, a young rival author who shares not only Andrew’s love of the game, but also of his wife. When Milo lays claim, revenge is devised and murders plotted as the two brilliant writers plan the penultimate whodunit.

    Both an intelligent parody of the Agatha Christie English manor-house mysteries, satirizing the genre at the same time using its devices to dramatically study the conflict and jealousies between an older and younger man. A Winner of the Tony and Drama Critics Circle Awards, SLEUTH will keep you guessing with its ingenious, skillful suspense and inventive twists and turns.

    SLEUTH is a tremendously clever play that is sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
